  • Reflexology is a therapy which is based on the theory that different areas, known as 'reflexes', on the feet correspond to various organs and systems of the body. By working on these areas using pressure and other techniques, Reflexologists believe that changes in a person's health can be brought about.

Using the feet to improve health is not a new technique; there is evidence of this type of bodywork in civilisations such as the ancient Egyptians, Chinese and Native American Indians. Reflexology as we know it today was developed nearly 100 years ago and continues to gain in popularity.

Recently I’ve trained to undertake Reflexology Lymph Drainage which is a wonderful technique aimed at helping to reduce lympheodema; often but not exclusively, a condition affecting people who have been treated for breast cancer, and which can have such debilitating effects.

In addition to lymphoedema, Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) is used to treat other conditions and RLD may be used similarly. Check out this website CLICK HERE for more information on Reflexology Lymph Drainage.

During a Reflexology treatment you can be comfortable either sitting or lying on a treatment couch whilst I work on your feet. To allow me to do this you will need to remove shoes and socks or tights.
I use the fabulous Songbird Reflexology waxes, (To visit Songbird Waxes website just CLICK HERE) as well as other naturally based products, organic where possible, during the treatments.

Don't like having your feet touched? Did you know that you can have Reflexology on your hands instead?
