What Does it Do?
How does it do it?
Reflexology is a therapy based on the theory that different areas on the feet or hands, known as 'reflexes', correspond to various organs and systems of the body. By working on these areas using pressure and other techniques, Reflexologists believe that changes in a person's health can be brought about. We don’t really know why this should be but one of the most widely held theories is that these reflexes share neural pathways with the organs they affect.
Using the feet to improve health is not a new technique; there is evidence of this type of bodywork in civilisations such as the ancient Egyptians, Chinese and Native American Indians. Reflexology as we know it today was developed nearly 100 years ago and continues to gain in popularity. Even people who have sensitive feet love reflexology!

Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)
One of the ways in which I’ve developed my professional expertise is by training in Reflexology Lymph Drainage which is a wonderful technique aimed at helping to reduce secondary lymphoedema; often but not exclusively, a condition affecting people who have been treated for breast cancer, and which can have such debilitating effects.
In addition to lymphoedema, Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) is used to treat other conditions and RLD may be used similarly. Check out this website CLICK HERE for more information on Reflexology Lymph Drainage.

Why not combine a facial massage using acupressure points with your Reflexology session? A facial acupressure massage can release tension in the facial muscles and encourage more effective circulation to brighten your eyes and give you a healthy glow.
Don't like having your feet touched? Did you know that you can have Reflexology on your hands instead?
Never had Reflexology?
Why not try a half hour taster session to feel some of the benefits of a Reflexology treatment. It’s amazing how relaxed you can feel after just 30 minutes!
During a Reflexology treatment I'll make sure that you're comfortable either sitting or lying on my padded treatment couch whilst I work on your feet. To allow me to do this you will need to remove shoes and socks or tights.
I use the fabulous Songbird Reflexology waxes, (To visit Songbird Waxes website CLICK HERE) as well as other naturally based products, organic where possible, during the treatments
